Spree Price, Sheffield iron and steel molder, enrolled 12 October 1916 at age 20. He was discharged from the G Depot Company, Royal Engineers at Chatham on October 8, 1919, due to his wounds, and was awarded military silver.

The Ruptured Duck

Icon. (A silver military award was given to those who were honorably discharged due to injury or illness.) The medals are in good condition, but the original ribbons are faded and have pin holes, probably for fastening and carrying.

Buga 61 $148 South African Queen's Medal with Transvaal, Cape Colony and Rare Wittebergen Battle Clasp, awarded to Private R. Baldwin 1556, 2nd Battalion Scots Guards. The Wittebergen clasp was awarded to all troops who, between July 1 and July 29, 1900 alone, were on the line drawn from Harrissmith to Bethlehem, thence to Senecal and Klokolan in the Orange Free State along the border with Basutoland and back to Harrissmith.

$675 Shop 61 A collection of six World War I postcards by the eminent British humorist and cartoonist Bruce Bairnsfather (1887–1959). His most famous cartoon character is Old Bill. Bill and his friends Bert and Alf appeared in Bairnsfather's weekly Fragments from France cartoons, which were published weekly in The Bystander magazine during the First World War.

Black and white maps were not written. There is some wear, a few leaks and some markings. But without wrinkles and considering the age is quite good. $75 for six. Two images (back to back behind glass) of a soldier of the 10th Rifle Corps. Gold frame and chain, blue enamel, in good condition. $125 Shop 27 Australian cedar smokers retrieved from HMAS in Sydney. In 1914, the Sydney was attacked by the German cruiser SMS Emden and eventually reached the shipyard of Kakadu Island in New South Wales (Sydney), where it was destroyed.

Original photographs by Australian Sergeant W. E. Penfold (Turramurra, New South Wales), B Squadron, 1st Light Horse, Australian Imperial Force. The album contains 428 black and white images on a wide variety of topics, almost all annotated by hand.

The image includes the Suez Canal, Port Said, Jerusalem, and specifically Beersheba. Also lots of random photos of diggers with their camels, cavalry, tanks, planes, ships, pyramids, General Chauvel, military graves, etc. and so on. and so on.
