Binoculars or ski binoculars! Next Generation Squad Weapons Program Launched in 2017, the Next Generation Squad Weapons (NGSW) program is a US military initiative to develop operational squad-level lethality against a variety of threats. Three defense companies have been selected to provide prototype weapons and ammunition for the program: SIG Sauer, General Dynamics and Textron Systems.
The weapon system also provides soldiers with significant improvements in range and signature control capabilities. Vortex Optics has been awarded a contract for the US Army's Next Generation Weapons Fire Control (NGSW-FC) optics. Under this contract, Vortex will supply up to 250,000 XM157 NGSW-FC optics over 10 years.
This XM157 scope includes an amazing feature set: variable magnification optics, stock etched reticle, laser range finder, ballistic calculator, atmospheric sensor suite, compass, intra-soldier wireless, visible and infrared targeting lasers, and Digital Display Cover. They specialize in the service, repair and restoration of all civilian and military binoculars and scopes.
They are best known for their exceptional work with vintage optics from World War I and II. Mountain Optics offers comprehensive service for all types of outdoor and domestic binoculars. Including but not limited to... as far as I've found, almost any telescope can be repaired.

Which Binoculars Can Your Repair
You get some companies that specialize in niche areas like repairing military and vintage binoculars, and then of course if you have a new pair that's still under warranty, you can get it repaired or even the manufacturer or dealer yourself.
Replace by Wouldn't it be great to build a laser range finder, air sensor, ballistic calculator, compass and even wireless into your gun range? Yes, it would be really cool, which is why the Pentagon is spending at least $20 million on the amazing new Vortex "Smart Optics."
As reported by Guns.com: "The 10-year contract ... includes the production and delivery of up to 250,000 XM157 next-generation squad weapons and fire control systems. NGSW-FC will be the Army's new NGSW rifle common Sight, which will replace the M4 carbine on the front line, and the NGSW assault rifle, the desired replacement for the M249 squad automatic weapon. The contract has a minimum of $20 million and a maximum of $2.7 billion if all options are exercised.
Of note, this indicates that each NGSW-FC optics unit costs approximately $10,800. However, it should be noted that beyond the optics themselves, the contract includes ancillary items, the contractor's support, parts, repair and engineering effort, which likely represents a significantly lower unit cost than basic math would suggest. Of course, the cost of binocular repair depends on what needs to be done, but also on the type and age of the binoculars you have. The best companies (see below) will be able to give you a free estimate if you want, but below are a few price guidelines I could find for you: Vortex contract for at least $20 million...and possibly $2.7 billion
! The NGSW-FC Optics contract, with an initial price of $20 million, provides that Vortex will receive at least $20 million from the Pentagon. This will include advanced optics for the XM157, as well as support accessories, spare parts, repair and engineering services.

Vortex subsidiary Sheltered Wings will execute the contract. Optical Repair has worked for major organizations such as the Australian Marine Service, the Australian Federal Police, the Queensland Government, as well as a number of specialist hospitals and clinics dealing with eye diseases in Australia and around the world.
Unless you're really attached to your binoculars (which I totally understand) or if they're cheap, sometimes they're not worth repairing or servicing. If this is the case, it's time to get a new pair of optics.
The Pentagon has selected Vortex to deliver its next-generation squad weapon, Fire Control Optics (NGSW-FC). But what is NGSW-FC? What does the new Vortex Scope change? What weapons will he settle for in the end? What features/abilities does it have?
What is Active Grid? What is IntraSoldier Wireless? How do features work? How is it tested? Is it easy to use? Alexander Lewis of Vortex answers these questions and more in the 49-minute podcast linked below.
